Clean water is essential for life, yet it’s a resource often taken for granted. Our water purification project focuses on understanding and addressing local water quality issues.
In the San Gabriel Valley, water purification plays a crucial role in addressing challenges like groundwater contamination, aging infrastructure, and sustainable water management.
This project is a step toward protecting one of our most vital resources for generations to come. By combining innovative solutions with community outreach, we aim to raise awareness of water purification and promote a resilient, sustainable water future for the region.
Ever wondered how tap water makes its way from the source to your tap, clean and safe to drink? Non-Toxic SGV held an exclusive online tour of Pure Water Southern California (PWSC) in order to discover the incredible journey our tap water takes every day.
In order to raise awareness of water purification, we decided to initiate this virtual tour about how tap water is processed. Tap water is essential to daily life, but few people know what happened before it flows out the tap.
This project helped people to get familiar with the process and gain a deeper appreciation for the systems that keep our communities running.

📄 California’s Water Future: Challenge, Source, and Urgent Need for Conservation
Our water purification project came to a success! With a focus on hands-on learning, we’ve conducted experiments to demonstrate how purification processes work in real life. This project is all about understanding water quality and showcasing practical solutions for cleaner, safer water in our community.
Using coffee as our ‘polluted water,’ we ran it through our system and watched as the product water came out impressively clear. This experiment was a hands-on way to see our purification process in action, proving that our design effectively removes impurities. It’s a big step toward understanding and applying real-world solutions for cleaner water in our community!
* T33 not only filters water one more time, but also modifies the taste to make it taste better. Hence, TDS would slightly increase, but is still very low compared to tap water.
